Travel Moments Backpacking in India

Jerusalem -- An essay from India, just published in Brave New Traveler, about those precious, vivid, and sometimes rare travel moments. Read the essay here.

If you can't picture it, check out these pics from Kerala, set to Jimmy Cliff. They are from the same trip, just further south.

Ben, wonderfully written. I so enjoy those rare blissful moments of feeling at one with humanity. Thanks for sharing, and I look forward to hearing more of your fantastic stories!

We must travel together sometime--I'm so jealous of Fred! I'm heading to Kabul next week... wanna join? Otherwise, we could rendezvous in Jalalabad in a month or so. :)

Be well, friend.

Glad to hear from your travels.

The sheer stimulation of a country of so many living a rather marginal existence can be quite overwhelming. But in Kerala everyone seems happy, their riches are very personal ones, they all look connected to one another.

Travel is more than just seeing places; and it is true, you have moments that cannot be experienced anywhere else but there. Like the fragance of the jasmine and rose garlands kids sell on the street that is so refreshing. It is uniquely theirs.

Glad to see smiling faces.

Namaste
